Caravan park surfacing is about more than the tarmac. Your roads carry tourers, static caravans on delivery, service vehicles and guests on foot, often on ground that was never built for that kind of traffic. Surfaces that last start with a sub-base suited to those loads and drainage that keeps water off pitches and paths. Just as important, the work has to fit around your season and your guests.
We surface internal roads, footpaths, pitch hardstandings, entrances and visitor car parks for holiday parks, touring sites and residential parks. Larger jobs are machine-laid in tarmac and asphalt for an even, durable finish. Where roads are worn but the base is still sound, repairs and resurfacing or surface dressing and tar & chip can be the better value. New pitches or extensions often start with groundworks and site clearances.
East Lothian’s coastline is home to many of the area’s caravan and holiday parks, and it is right on our doorstep in Haddington. Caravan park surfacing is one part of our wider commercial surfacing work, alongside car parks, yards and access roads, and we have laid surfaces across the Lothians since 1952.

Frequently asked questions
Can you resurface our park roads without closing the site?
Usually, yes. We plan the work around your bookings, either in your quieter months or in phases so sections of the park stay open and guests can still get to their pitches. We will set out the programme with your quote so you know what to expect.
When is the best time of year to surface a caravan park?
Many parks prefer the off-season or the shoulder months when occupancy is lower. Tarmac does need reasonable conditions to lay well, so we will talk you through timing for your site and book the work in good time before your season starts.
Do you lay hardstandings for touring pitches and statics?
Yes. We prepare and lay hardstandings for touring pitches and static bases. Each one is built on a compacted sub-base and laid level, with sensible falls so water drains away rather than pooling on the pitch. We can match new pitches to existing ones or surface a whole new field.
Do you repair potholes and worn roads on caravan parks?
Yes. Where the base is still sound, patching, resurfacing or surface dressing is often more cost effective than a full replacement, and it can be done in a short window between bookings. We will look at your roads and tell you honestly which approach they need.
Which areas do you cover for caravan park work?
We are based in Haddington and work across East Lothian, including the coastal holiday parks around North Berwick, Dunbar, Longniddry and Port Seton, as well as Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders. Get in touch about your site and we will arrange a survey.
